On Money: Gifts & God
Your practice is a business and every business needs a marketing strategy. I know your work is your calling and passion, but it is also your inherent gift and you are allowed to make a good living. In order to do that you must market effectively & have a money-business oriented strategy. Pause for a moment and check in with your feelings. If they're bubbling up, they’re trying to alert you of something that needs to be addressed. Working through any feelings that you’re having are key to your business & financial success.
Having a money & businesses focused marketing strategy can be hard for some healers to make peace with. We're told to find our calling & live a life of service with love as Christ did so it can be very challenging to accept money & abundance for our services. But we live in a society where money is a necessity. Your work is your gift, what you're meant to do, and it's a massive contribution to society. In exchange for your service to others, God provides. It is absolutely ok to accept abundance. It’s an honor to be given the gift of healing. I truly believe that God's gifts are for us to benefit from as well. A way for you to earn a living.
First, let’s look at these feelings. Working through feelings around money will help you in all of your business relationships. Money is one of the most igniting topics for people. It’s even known as “the root of all evil”. Money is not the root of all evil, but worshiping it and making it a central focus in your life or business to the point of valuing it more than your relationships will certainly create discourse in your life. You can put on your money, business, and marketing hat but you must ground yourself in service of others. When ever you create a marketing or money making strategy, pause and ask yourself, “how does this better serve my clients & community?”. That simple step keeps your money generating practices grounded in the principal of serving others with your gifts.
In order to effectively market your practice, you need to be clear with your self & feelings around money, your mission & purpose, and your goals in serving others. Our next post offers a money-barrier exercise to help you identify ways that feelings and perceptions are preventing you from managing and earning money.
Now go work your magic.
